| z/Architecture Overview and z/VM 64-bit Internals
|
| z/VM operates in a new architectural mode, called z/Architecture,
that provides 64-bit real and virtual addressing and arithmetic operations.
This presentation gives a brief overview of the new architecture and
explains how VM exploits this architecture to deliver new features and
functions.

| z/VM 64-bit Support Externals
|
| z/VM exploits the 64-bit architecture available on the IBM zSeries 900
processors to use greater than 2GB of central storage for pageable guests.
It also facilitates the testing of 64-bit operating systems by allowing for
the definition of virtual machines with storage sizes greater than 2GB.
This presentation shows you how to use the new capabilities introduced with
this support and explains how the commands, messages, and systems generation
process have changed in this new VM operating system.
